Emani Owner Michelle Doan Speaks to Students in the Cerritos College Cosmetology Program

Michelle Doan, Owner of the Make-up line, Emani, visited the Cerritos College Cosmetology Program on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 to share with the students her story.

NORWALK, Calif. - March 6, 2014 - PRLog -- She discussed her struggle with acne, her career in the fashion industry, her path to starting her own business and provided students with Emani make-up demonstrations.

Emani products are skin friendly, vegan, gluten-free, paraben free, cruelty free, made of natural and organic ingredients, and is professional grade and HD. It does not contain talc, cheap fillers, harsh chemicals, petrochemicals, or synthetic fragrances.  Emani products are made of 100% recycled paper packaging and are made in the USA.

Michelle shared her struggle battling acne from the age of 15 to her adulthood. After years of working with dermatologists, experts, and researching on her own, she found the solution in a Salon. “I worked with an Esthetician at a Salon and in following her recommendations I came to realize that chemicals are in everything we use. Chemicals get absorbed into our system and that realization changed what I used on my skin. I am here today because of an Esthetician. An esthetician changed my life,” said Michelle Doan.

“The average woman uses 12 products a day and about 5 pounds of beauty products per year. All the products have chemicals in them that can negatively affect you,” said Michelle. “I started Emani because I could not find products with healthy ingredients. Every single ingredient in our Emani product line gets scrutinized. I believe in make-up that functions as skin care. I believe in the products we offer. I believe in affordable luxury. I want to make sure our products are available to all women.”

Cerritos College Cosmetology Salon will house Emani products starting March 2014. Products include;  foundations, primers, setting powders, mascaras, eye liner, lip colors, eye-shadows, blushes, bronzers, brushes, and concealers. The products can be used in make-up applications in the salon and can be sold to the general public. To schedule an appointment at the salon, call (562) 467-5047 or visit the salon at Cerritos College, Health Science Building, Floor 2, Room 202.
