By: Cheeks AirWorx The retirement of Cheeks Electric and Air’s owner Victor Cheeks on 11-11-11, brought great changes to one of the area’s oldest electrical and air conditioning companies. Tommy and Travis Smith bought Cheeks with the mindset of taking a storied company and utilizing the vast knowledge between the two men to create the best air conditioning company in Northeast Louisiana. The direction of the company is a customer-first atmosphere based on trust, honesty, and dedication backed with a 100% Money Back Guarantee. There is more than just a name-change taking place at Cheeks AirWorx; the culture is changing, as well. This change starts with the philosophy of not doing business with a contractor mentality but as one of a customer service company. Every aspect of the customer experience is a high priority. When the initial phone call is made, they strive to make the customer feel like she’s part of the family. A customer service representative answers 24/7 to make sure needs are met any time of day. A major part of their 24/7 customer service is that the customer does not pay an overtime fee, ever. “A customer should not be punished if their comfort is interrupted at an inopportune time.” says Brian Eskew, Equipment Specialist. “We want our customers to know that we are here for them and no matter when they need us, we will be there.” The service department is first rate all the way, with enough certifications and recommendations to back up the claim. The awarding of the Angie’s List “Super Service Award” for 2013 verifies it. The moment you make the first interaction with the friendly operations manager, you will know you are in good hands. You will always have a qualified, honest, neatly dressed, and background-checked technician to take care of your needs. They will always give you the price to make the repair before the work is done. Their “Up-Front Pricing” eliminates the guessing game from the repair cost. Travis Smith says, “When a customer needs our service, that is possibly the biggest thing going on for them that day. We want them to know that we understand and will take as long as necessary to solve their problem correctly and have them back comfortable in their home or business, without gouging them over labor prices.” Community involvement is another big point of emphasis for Cheeks AirWorx. Three of the team members are Rotarians. The company is heavily involved in both the Monroe and West Monroe Chambers of Commerce. Tommy Smith says, “Not only do we strive to be the best all-around A/C and electrical company in Northeast Louisiana, but we strive to help make Northeast Louisiana the best all around. We are a part of this community and we should embrace the opportunity to improve it as much as possible.” About Cheeks AirWorx “Cheeks Electric & Air Conditioning” Early in the 1950′s, Cheeks expanded into the air conditioning and heating business. One of the notable jobs in the early days of the company was the electrical wiring of the old Sears building on Louisville Avenue in Monroe in 1953. Some of the present day notable customers include KTVE/ KARD, Duck Commander, St. Matthew Catholic Church, First Baptist Church Monroe, Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, numerous restaurants and local businesses. With partnerships like these and the future “family members” they’ll gain, it seems like the future of HVAC in Northeast Louisiana is in good hands. End
