TheBlackManCan Institute (http://tbmcinstitute.theblackmancan.org/) Coming off the heels of a highly successful tour last Fall, where nearly 500 young boys of color had an opportunity to be mentored, coached and encouraged in major markets where violent youth crimes are its highest, New York City, Hartford, New Haven, Baltimore, Washington, D.C.and Atlanta, Author & Educator, Brandon Frame Chief Visionary Officer is embarking on the 2014 Spring tour which began in Washington, D.C. at American University and heads to Memphis on Saturday, March 15th. Frame along with community leaders and educators will provide half-day workshops helping young boys in grades 6 - 12 foster brotherhood.Brandon dedicates his efforts to all the youth who have been lost to gun violence which is his primary mandate for teaching brotherhood and encouraging higher education. "Mr-Opportunity" Young Men of Color attending TheBlackManCan Institute will be exposed to cultural and global perspectives that includes powerful workshops and keynote speakers at each institute that will empower and educate young men in attendance. All young men attending the Institute will receive ties and a copy of Brandon’s debut title, Define Yourself, Redefine the World: A Guided Journal for Black Boys and Men (http://theblackmancan.org/ Brandon Frame is a notable author, scholar, educator and newsmaker who was named one of Hartford’s “40 Under 40”. Brandon has always felt compelled to give-back, something instilled in him while attending the prestigious Morehouse College in Atlanta. Brandon shares, “I want TheBlackManCan Institute to touch the lives of boys and men around the world. My hope for the work I do is to be more successful in combating the negative images of Black men and boys with which we're bombarded on a daily basis.
