Follow on Google News | ![]() Top Names Lined Up For 2014 Aruba Soul Beach FestivalMajor international stars will be heading for Aruba in May, as the Dutch Caribbean island again prepares for one of its biggest entertainment events of the year.
Soul and rhythm and blues fans from around the world will also be travelling to the 2014 Soul Beach Music Festival running from May 21 and 26. First launched in 2000, the event has continued to grow in stature and is now a key fixture in the international soul music scene and, covering the American Memorial Day holiday weekend, draws thousands of followers from overseas. The festival is a mixture of concerts, beach parties and nightclub action, in addition to headline performances by leading artists. Top names this year include acclaimed singer-songwriter Robin Thicke and multi Grammy-winner Kenny ‘Babyface’ Award-winning vocal powerhouse Thicke will lead the climax of the festival on Sunday May 25 at the Nikki Beach Amphitheatre in island capital Oranjestad. Nominated for three Grammy awards, Thicke will have festival goers swaying and rocking to his performance, and hoping for a rendition of his latest worldwide hit, Blurred Lines. Kenny Edmonds tops the bill the previous night, Saturday May 24, at the same venue.
