2014 Community First Natural Life Music Festival Huge Success!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - March 31, 2014 - PRLog -- JACKSONVILLE, Florida (March 28, 2014) — What started in 2001 at the beaches as a neighborhood gathering called “Crafternoon,” has evolved into one of the region’s most enlivening family festivals. The 2014 Community First Natural Life Music Festival transformed Metropolitan Park into an indie-folk festival on Sunday, March 16, 2014. The festival drew over 8,500 people and included two Grammy-nominated artists, Sarah Jarosz and Della Mae; a special guest-performance by local X-Factor finalist, Rion Paige; The Autumn Defense; and St. Augustine locals, The Willow Wacks.

In its second year as title sponsor, Community First Credit Union was instrumental in bringing the festival to life. “We are so proud of the growth and popularity of the Community First Natural Life Music Festival,” said Community First CEO and President John Hirabayashi. “Free, family-friendly festivals greatly contribute to improved quality of life in North Florida, a mission of our community partnerships.”

The event also included an artisan market, a sample sale, an array of healthy food vendors and food trucks, and “Crafternoon” -- highlighted by a tie-dye station, leather bracelet stamping and many more nostalgic craft stations. All proceeds of the event benefit longtime-partner, the Children’s Home Society of Florida, Buckner Division.

In an effort to raise additional money for their beneficiary, Natural Life extended the Sample Sale, now termed the “Give Back Sale,” to the Natural Life flagship store at The Avenues Mall. The final amount raised for The Children’s Home Society of Florida, Buckner Divison will be announced at the completion of the sale.
