Follow on Google News | Keyboard Friendly Piano Course Lets Students PlayExpensive pianos out, affordable keyboards in says Edward Weiss
By: Quiescence Music Enter the keyboard. Keyboards have revolutionized the learning of piano because of their low price. Today, the sound is so good a novice ear would have a hard time telling the difference between a Steinway or the digitally produced tones of an electronic keyboard. Or so says piano teacher Edward Weiss. Weiss teaches a style of piano called ’New Age’ and says a piano is not necessary to take his online course. Mr. Weiss explains why… “ My approach uses chords in both hands. A 61 key keyboard is more than enough to learn this technique. Also, I know many students can’t afford a piano. Although a real piano is always preferable, it’s not always practical. A beginning keyboard instrument can be purchased for under $150 which produces realistic piano sounds. This is all one needs to begin lessons on.” Weiss even uses a digital piano for his course. When asked about it, Weiss comments… “I’ve played a concert hall Steinway and every piano in between. My digital piano gives me everything I want without the extraordinary price tag required to get that grand piano sound. I’ve never had a problem with playing a digital and the best part is, it’s always in tune.” More information about Mr. Weiss's course is available at http://www.Quiescencemusic.com End
