San Diego Flash Adds (Local) Major League Soccer Player to Roster

SAN DIEGO - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- San Diego soccer fans will get the opportunity to see Major League Soccer player, Ryan Guy play for San Diego Flash Soccer Club in 2014.

Guy (born September 5, 1985 in Carlsbad, California) is an American-born Guamanian international footballer who recently played for the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer (2011 - 2013).

* After attending La Costa Canyon High School, where he was named MVP twice, Guy enrolled at the University of San Diego, after being recruited by a number of other schools. In his sophomore season Guy earned First Team All–West Coast Conference and 2nd Team–NSCAA All-West Region honors.

At San Diego, Guy appeared in all 79 of the Toreros’ games in his four seasons, starting 77, between 2003 and 2006. He was a 2004 NSCAA All-Far West honoree, and a three-time All-West Coast Conference performer while scoring 16 career goals and adding 24 career assists.

After four seasons at the University of San Diego, Guy was drafted by FC Dallas in the second round (22nd overall) of the 2007 MLS SuperDraft.
