American Paper & Twine Co. Breaks Ground on New Knoxville Location

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - April 11, 2014 - PRLog -- American Paper & Twine Co., the region’s largest independently owned wholesale distributor, announces that it will break ground on a new office and warehouse distribution facility in Knoxville, TN.  The new facility will be located at 2710 Redfern Lane, Knoxville, TN 37931 and the groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Thursday April 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.

"We are excited to be moving our operations to a new facility,” said Brian Leitch, General Manager, Knoxville.  “A larger distribution center and new office space will allow us to better serve our existing customers, along with new customers as our business continues to grow.”

"We have had a location in Knoxville since 2006," said Robert Doochin, Presidentand CEOfor American Paper & Twine, Co. “As our business expanded across the region, we outgrew the current facility in Knoxville. We look forward to developing an even wider footprint in the area and appreciate the support we have received from the Knoxville community during the last eight years.”

The new facility will be approximately 30,000 square feet including office and warehouse space. American Paper & Twine has worked with T.W. Frierson Contractor, Inc. for over 15 years to build several distribution facilities and is delighted that T.W. Frierson will oversee the Knoxville project as well. The transition to the new facility is expected to be complete by October, 2014.

Attendees at the April 17 groundbreaking ceremony will include: Robert Doochin, AP&T President and CEO; Wm. David Morris, AP&T CFO; Mark Wright, AP&T Senior VP; Karen Doochin Shaffer, AP&T VP; Brian Leitch, AP&T Knoxville General Manager; as well as, representatives from T.W. Frierson Contractor, Inc.
