Evan Guthrie Law Firm Speaks To Summerville High School Personal Finance And Entrepreneur Classes

CHARLESTON, S.C. - April 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina spoke to several Personal Finance and Entrepreneurship classes at Summerville High School in Summerville, SC on Tuesday October 29^th 2013. Mr. Guthrie shared his knowledge gained as an estate planning attorney to the personal finance classes and the lessons learned from starting his own law practice to the entrepreneur classes. The personal finance class teaches students the basic skills needed to manage and grow money in the real world once they graduate from school. One of Mr. Guthrie’s primary areas of focus in his law firm is estate planning which helps families plan and distribute their assets to loved ones over future generations. Attorney Guthrie talked about some of the key overall takeaways, traits, and patterns of the successful clients he has helped in his careers and how they were able to grow wealth and pass it on to their families. Mr. Guthrie also talked about some mistakes for the students to try to avoid in their lives that could negatively affect their personal finance.

Attorney Guthrie also spoke to several Entrepreneurship classes and shared some tips on how to start, grow, and maintain a small business. Mr. Guthrie started his own law firm straight out of law school and talked about some of the lessons and mindsets that he has learned and adapted. Attorney Guthrie took many questions from the students and responded to them in a straight forward manner.

This was the first time that Mr. Guthrie has spoke to a class at Summerville High School during a school day. Attorney Guthrie has spoken at Dorchester District 2 Higher Learning Academy events at Summerville High School and has participated in the Career and Technology Advisory Board at the school before. Mr. Guthrie looks forward to returning to speak to the school many times in the future.
