By: Q-Sciences.com identifies micronutrients as a viable treatment for those suffering emotional instability following a disaster. The study, performed by Dr. Julia Rucklidge and her team of researchers at the University of Canterbury in Chistchurch, New Zealand, investigated whether micronutrients given following the Chritschurch earthquakes continued to confer benefits one year following the treatment. “This research reaffirms that EMPowerplus™ people improve their lives,” said Daren Hogge, Founder, President, and CEO of Q Sciences. “Additionally, the safety profile of the product has been researched extensively and has been proven to be safe in use over the past 17 years.” The catastrophic Christchurch earthquakes of 2010 and 2011 were the most destructive natural disasters of this century in New Zealand. The psychological consequences of natural disasters have been well documented and Dr. Rucklidge and her team divided participants suffering emotional instability due to these natural disasters into two groups: a treated group (those who received micronutrient treatment) and a control group (those who did not receive micronutrient treatment). In the study Dr. Rucklidge reported: “Disaster survivors improve psychologically over time regardless of receiving intervention; In addition, Dr. Rucklidge stated that, “nutrient supplementation may, therefore, be an effective option for treating anxiety and stress following a natural disaster.” This conclusion was apparent in the study as it reported: "Both the treated and control groups experienced significant improvement in psychological functioning compared with end-of-trial. However, treated participants had better long-term outcomes on most measures compared with controls. Those who stayed on micronutrients through to follow-up or stopped all treatment reported better psychological functioning than those who switched to other treatments including medications.” Dr. Rucklidge also went on to state that micronutrient supplementation in not only effective but safe as well. “One intervention that has potential to be effective and easily implemented, with few or no side effects, in nutritional supplementation.” The micronutrient formula known as EMPowerplus™ visit: http://www.q- End
