Arlington Heights Ford Supports Buffalo Grove High School’s Drive 4 UR School Event

May 2, 2014 - PRLog -- To assist in fundraising efforts, Arlington Heights Ford is sponsoring Buffalo Grove High School’s Drive 4 UR School Event on Wednesday, May 7. The dealership, along with the Ford Motor Company, will be donating $20 for every test drive of a new Ford C-MAX, Fusion, Escape, or other qualifying model. The event will be held at the school, located at 1100 W. Dundee Rd. in Buffalo Grove, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The goal of the Drive 4 UR School event is to raise up to $6,000 for educational activities and supplies.

During the event, participants will not only be able to get behind the wheel of a brand-new Ford, but they will also be able to help a worthy cause. Many activities and supplies important to the education of Buffalo Grove High School students suffer from a lack of funding. Tight budgets force schools like Buffalo Grove High School to make tough decisions, which often limit opportunities for students. Ford’s Drive 4 UR School event helps get the local community involved in providing the necessary funds that will make a big difference to students at Buffalo Grove High School.

Arlington Heights Ford will be on hand with some of the most popular Ford models that will be available for a test drive. Those vehicles include the new Ford Escape, Fusion, and C-MAX.

The 2014 Ford Escape: This versatile SUV offers a wide range of high-tech amenities and now comes standard with Ford’s SYNC system. With SYNC, drivers are able to remain connected through features like Bluetooth while on the road.
The 2014 Ford Fusion: This sporty sedan does not sacrifice performance for fuel economy. Its available 2.0L turbo engine delivers 240 hp while still earning a combined EPA fuel economy estimate of 26 mpg. The optional MyFord Touch system allows drivers to easily control phone, navigation, and audio functions.
The 2014 Ford C-MAX: Along with a 2.0L four-cylinder gasoline engine, the C-MAX Hybrid is powered by an electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack. In addition to generating 141 hp, the 2014 C-MAX Hybrid receives EPA estimates of 45 mpg in the city and 40 mpg for highway driving.
