Ryan Allis to Speak at 2014 CEO National Conference

May 15, 2014 - PRLog -- The Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO) is proud to announce that alum Ryan Allis will be a keynote speaker at the 2014 CEO National Conference in Orlando, Florida. Ryan will receive the CEO Alumni Hall of Fame Award for his achievements as a young entrepreneur.

When he was a student at North Carolina University, Ryan participated in CEO and attended the National Conference. Ryan was CEO and Co-Founder of iContact, which was founded in July of 2003. The company that started as a startup while Ryan was still in school and grew to 300 employees. Icontact was sold to Vocus in 2012 for $169 million.

Ryan is technology entrepreneur, angel investor and CEO and Co-Founder of Connect (http://www.connect.com/), a company focused on helping users stay in touch with the people in their lives. He currently resides in San Francisco and is also the curriculum developer for Hive (http://www.hive.org/). As a part of Connect Ventures, Ryan has invested in 23 companies including SpaceX, Change.org, LendingClub, Ark, Soma, and Cambrian Genomics.

Last year's alumni award was given to Lean Startup Machine founder Trevor Owens. Trevor attended the CEO Conference as a student of Iowa State University and went on to start several businesses before launching Lean Startup Machine.

CEO is a non-profit organization that creates and supports young entrepreneurs. The CEO National Conference is an annual event that brings together over 1,200 students, faculty, and entrepreneurs.
