Sonia Jackson Myles, Leader of Revolution of Love & Sister Accord Tea Party Tour, Inspires Teens

ATLANTA - May 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Sonia Jackson Myles, Founder of The Sister Accord (http://www.theSisterAccord.com) recently held her fourth "Tea Party" of her Sister Accord Tea Party Tour in Atlanta, GA.   “I am thrilled that we were able to bring The Tea Party Tour to Atlanta, a city that is very special to me.  The young women in Atlanta were ready for this event and were hungry for exceptional mentoring, and that is exactly what they received.”

Atlanta Multi-media personality, Rashan Ali brought greetings to the teens and shared a powerful poem titled “What is A Sister?” to give the young women an idea of how special being a sister really is.  Sarah Jakes, Author & Daughter of the world renowned, Bishop TD Jakes, also spoke with the teens and shared her incredible story of her journey to fully loving herself, as discussed in her newly released book, Lost and Found.   The young women found Sarah’s story inspiring and loved her courage and honesty.  Sarah shared “As young women, we sometimes downplay who we are so that we can receive love from others.  We must really find people who will love us the way we are and inspire us to be better.  That is what The Sister Accord is all about.”

Haben Abraham, from the popular EriAm Sisters, shared her amazing singing talents with the students that ended with a standing ovation.  As one student shared, “I had no idea what to expect when I was invited to the Tea Party, but I walked away inspired and forever changed as a result of my attendance.”  Jackson Myles adds “It is my intention to share exercises and models that help the young women understand that it all begins with self-love.  Once you get comfortable in your own skin, you will begin to see other females as an extension of yourself and your view of them being “competition or the enemy” begins to be reframed.  It’s a powerful shift that occurs when people (both students and adults) attend my seminars and tea parties.”
