Thermoplastic Elastomer Specially Formulated for Mouth Guards

ROMULUS, Mich. - May 20, 2014 - PRLog -- When a new manufacturer of mouth guards used to prevent injury in contact sports needed help with a new design mold, they turned to APS Elastomers for assistance. A specially formulated grade was optimized for their application with specific softness. Fabricated in a pre-formed shape in various sizes, the mouth guards can be adapted to fit more closely to an individual's teeth and gums; some incorporate special fins within the fitting zones which increase retention and give an improved fit.
