Project Atticus Splashes after 4 Months in the Boatyard!

Project Atticus wraps up a 4-month dry dock period with a flashy new paint job and a seaworthy hull! They are now one step closer to circumnavigating the globe on the Atticus, their 51-year-old sailboat.

KEY WEST, Fla. - June 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Project Atticus faced four months of sanding, grinding, epoxying, fiberglassing, plumbing, wiring, priming, painting, dismantling, building and rebuilding, all for the end goal of restoring a neglected sailboat back to life.

Their next video webisode which airs on June 30 showcases their lessons, struggles, accomplishments, friendships and adventures during their time on the dry dock.

Today Jordan and Desiree “splash” triumphantly with a beautiful paint job, a new engine, a seaworthy hull, and most importantly, a wealth of new knowledge and skills that will help equip them for their circumnavigation.

They anticipate another 2 months of work on the water to repair, replace, and strengthen the rigging, sails, and deck. After that, they will start to plan their route for circumnavigation.

About Project Atticus: Jordan and Desiree founded Project Atticus to document their journey of circumnavigating the globe.  They film everything and release periodic video webisodes so that their audience can follow along with them as they see the world and slowly become salty sailors! For anyone who has ever dreamed of exploring the most remote corners of the globe, this is one way to do it from the comfort of your home!
