Ingenuity Allows MGS to Keep Step in an Evolving Marketplace with the PHS SideSerter

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. - June 19, 2014 - PRLog -- Displaying its industry-leading ability to meet its clients' unique packaging needs, MGS Machine recently created a first-of-its kind application with the PHS SideSerter. The SideSerter is especially effective for those in the food and beverage industry.

MGS recently assisted a client with a unique project requiring placing backer cards on snack trays at a very specific angle. Based on our extensive testing and development, we used the PHS SideSerter, which not only allowed the backer cards to be placed at a specific angle, but increased the speed from 80 trays to 120 trays per minute. In addition, thanks to the change, fewer packaging materials are needed, resulting in a cost reduction for the client. This project showcases our ability to adapt to an ever-changing marketplace in order to meet our clients’ needs.

A flexible standard design allows the SideSert to be supplied as a stand-alone machine, provided with a conveyor, or fit over an existing line. An open station prior to outsert placement allows for additional functions, such as barcode scanning, greatly reducing waste and rework. And end users can customize the machine to their specific needs, making the SideSert an exceptionally versatile application.
