PHILADELPHIA - June 27, 2014 - PRLog -- West Reading, PA—Grab your best flannel shirt, crank up your favorite Nirvana album, and explore the hella good sights and sounds of the 1990s with National Geographic Channel and Neo-Pangea’s new web site http://www.RuleThe90s.com ! Launched in conjunction with National Geographic Channel’s three-night miniseries event The ‘90s: The Last Great Decade?, the site gives players the chance to gleefully reminisce, rule the online trivia leaderboard, and win mad prizes.

Narrated by Rob Lowe and featuring original interviews with more than 120 of the decade’s biggest celebrities and newsmakers, including Roseanne Barr, Tony Blair, Newt Gingrich, Arsenio Hall, Vanilla Ice, Monica Lewinsky, Courtney Love, Colin Powell, Martin Sheen, and Brian Williams, The ‘90s: The Last Great Decade? offers three nights of the people, places, events, and things that made the 1990s so memorable. Ten years of triumphs and tragedies are on full display alongside insightful commentary from the people who lived through them.

The fun continues online with http://www.rulethe90s.com, where players will find themselves flush with the glow of ‘90s nostalgia as they pit their trivia knowledge and reflexes against players from all over the world. Using their computers and mobile devices, players race against the clock to build a score worthy of the online leaderboard. Those who play along in real time during the premiere of each episode will earn bonus points that will help them in their quest to Rule the ‘90s.

The Grand Prize winner will receive a 1992 vintage “Mortal Kombat” Midway Arcade Game, fully restored. Two runner-ups will win prize packs containing 1990s toys, memorabilia, and movies, such as a Furby, an original Super Soaker, a Y2K Beanie Baby, and a “Rule the ‘90s” t-shirt.

For those who prefer a leisurely stroll down memory lane rather than an adrenaline-fueled, multiplayer trivia throw-down, the site also features hours of phat ‘90s artifacts, photos, and videos to be explored and shared.
