Travel author, photographer and screenwriter, Michael January, following on his two previous editions covering castles of England & Wales and Ireland presents fifteen of his favorite castles in Switzerland with beautiful photographs in full color featuring stories of the history and culture of stunning medieval edifices of the Swiss Alps from the perspective of a medieval enthusiast traveler exploring historical Europe, text drawn from the author’s work on the online travel guide website Bargain Travel Europe.

Featured castles include the romantic Chateau Chillon, Gruyeres Castle, castles of Aigle, Thun and World Heritage Bellenzona, among others. This book is the third in the series begun with the release of “Favorite Castles: England and Wales” which will expand to include castles in Germany, France, Belgium and others to follow.

Michael January is the editor and publisher of Bargain Travel Europe, the online travel guide website. The author began his travel writing with a search for castles in Germany while in production on a film. His journeys have since taken him across the continent.
