The event includes a barbecue lunch, which will be served beginning at noon. The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. A snack bar will be available throughout the event. The starting chip stack is $5,500 and the tournament will have 20 minute blinds. Rebuys will not be allowed. Prizes will be issued for first, second, third and fourth place winners and will be announced at the tournament. In addition, random drawings for door prizes will be held throughout the tournament. The event serves as a fundraiser for the gym and its athletes. A portion of the proceeds will be used by the Booster Club to repair and/or purchase gym equipment. Additional funds will be credited to participating athletes to help cover competition costs. "This is a great opportunity to test your poker skills or if you’re unfamiliar with poker, get the feel of tournament poker in a relaxed, low-key, no pressure environment while knowing that - win or lose - your entry fee is going to support the hard work and dedication of local athletes.
