Local Comedian to open a new DC Comedy Club

WASHINGTON - Aug. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Washington DC – August 5^th, 2014:  Local Washington DC-based comedian Ed Blaze has launched a new Kickstarter.com campaign that could drastically change the entertainment landscape of Washington DC. With only one stand-alone venue solely dedicated to showcasing local and national comedians, the new Metro Comedy Club would offer a new venue to accommodate the many talented comedians in this region.

The campaign began on July 19, 2014 and after just 10 days it has raised more than $12,000.  “This new venue is in high demand both by comedians and the public who want more comedy options,” said Blaze.  “All you have to do is look at the many testimonials placed on the campaign page by people who really want to see a new comedy club in DC. I want to bring that to them,” he added.

As part of the crowdfunding endeavor, Blaze is offering supporters a variety of exclusive benefits, making their contributions a true investment in the new club. Levels range from $1 to $6500, providing benefits such as free passes, beverage coupons, yearly memberships and exclusive events.
