ISM - NJ also announced that Mr. Dave Noda, senior procurement executive with Forest Laboratories, Inc., is the Dinner Chairperson Award recipient for this prestigious event. The dinner chairperson is the executive who received the next highest rating in the nomination selection process. The Awards were presented on June 18, 2014 at the Banquet in Parsippany, New Jersey. Ms. Heidi Hemmer Heidi Hemmer, is Vice-President - Global Strategic Sourcing at Verizon Communications. She leads a team of sourcing professionals responsible for global sourcing activities across multiple categories totaling approximately $26 billion annually. Hemmer also oversees the growth of business relationships with diverse suppliers as well as overall strategic supplier relationships enterprise wide. Ms. Hemmer’s career spans both operational field positions as well as staff support roles in the telecommunications industry. Ms. Hemmer serves on the Supply Chain Leaders in Action Board, the SCM Advisory Board at Rutgers Business School, and the National Minority Supplier Development Council Corporate Plus® Management Committee. Heidi is an active member of ISM, and has participated in Panel Forum on Working Capital in 2012, as well as being a key speaker at the Women& Leadership Conference in 2012 and 2013 for discussion topics such as Generational Leadership and Diversity. She received the ISM Diamond Award in 2012. Mr. Dave Noda Dave Noda is the senior procurement executive within Forest Laboratories, Inc., reporting directly to the company’s Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he is accountable for efficiency improvements, enhanced spend controls, and total cost savings across all Forest subsidiaries and corporate functions. This includes leading procurement and strategic sourcing in support of drug development & research, pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, and logistics as well as the sales, marketing, information technology, real-estate and human resources corporate center functions. In addition, Dave acts as the executive champion of Forest’s Small and Diverse Business Program and is responsible for the spend-related contributions to the company’s $500 million operating-cost improvement initiative. He is an accomplished supply chain executive with more than 25 years of experience and has held a number of executive leadership positions in the Defense, Computer, Telecommunications, Services and Pharmaceutical sectors. Dave has conducted business in over thirty countries including as an expatriate in Hong Kong. He was a contributing leader within the Lucent Supply Chain Networks organization that was awarded Purchasing Magazine’s Medal of Excellence.
