Harlem Based Entrepreneur Defines the Modern Gay Man with New Product Line

NEW YORK - Aug. 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Corey Wesley, co-founder of BlackOutEndeavors LLC, had always wanted to be in a fraternity but never took advantage of the opportunity.  One of the reasons he turned down the offer to pledge was he felt uncomfortable going through the process as an openly gay man.

Today he has thought about his previous interests and experiences and after working with business partner John S. Myers, he is developing a product line inspired by his definition of the Modern Gay Man and which uses additional influences from fraternity life and Greek mythology.

Mu Gamma Mu is slated to be a lifestyle brand for what Wesley defines as the Modern Gay Man.  The Modern Gay Man has reached success in his field, understands he controls that success, is stylish and fashionable, is smart, is comfortable being out, and appreciates culture, the arts, and music.

When asked to identify a Modern Gay Man, Wesley points to Neil Patrick Harris, Andy Cohen, Alan Cumming, Michael Sam, and Jason Collins.  Mu Gamma Mu men are crushing the stereotypical images that exist for gay men.  They are also creating a new vision for the openly gay man in today’s society.

Under Wesley’s guidance, BlackOutEndeavors successfully launched two previous lines, first Flirtatious-T, a line of t-shirts with flirtatious slogans on them (spotted on celebrities on national television such as Kendra Wilkinson and Whoopi Goldberg), and more recently Urban FLRT, which produces products that incorporate motivational messages around the notion of “Freely Living Real & True” (FLRT).

In addition to their product lines, BlackOutEndeavors also owns the online magazine UrbanLandMedia.com.  With growing interest and popularity, this online site provides modern topics for the modern gay man, including interviews with various artists, sex and dating, grooming, and music and entertainment.
