RJM Licensing to Represent The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady™in the US and Canada

The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady is an art-based licensing program based on a 1906 hand-illustrated diary by noted British illustrator Edith Holden.  It has sold millions of copies in its print editions and has also been released in iBook format by Rosetta Books. The iBook is notable because in addition to spectacular four-color high-resolution art, the Multi-Touch edition features hundreds of pop-up pieces of information about poets, plants, and places Edith Holden visited and loved. This classic property was one of the very first titles available in this iBook format.

Nicholas Durbridge, Chairman at The Copyrights Group said, "We are delighted to be working with RJM Licensing to grow this charming property in the US and Canada and we look forward to making it available to an even wider audience with new product categories in the future”.

According to Rob Mejia, President of RJM Licensing, Inc., “One of the most compelling features of this art program is that it includes perennial image favorites such as birds, flowers, butterflies, and plants.  Also, the extensive and flexible artwork bank lends itself to a variety of design treatments both contemporary and traditional and designers will find a wealth of material to draw upon.”

In the UK, the Country Dairy merchandising program has been successful for decades, led by a paper goods line at Marks & Spencer, who have carried the range for 28 years. Internationally new launches include a variety of calendar formats, as well as an expanded gifting range with burton + BURTON in the USA.

Future target categories include over the counter fabric/quilting goods, greeting cards, home décor, gift bags and gift wrap, kitchen textiles, ceramics, rubber stamps, and prints. Book publishing rights for the US and Canada are also available.
