Beatles author Candy Leonard brings ‘Beatleness’ to Los Angeles

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Sept. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Sociologist and first-generation Beatle fan Candy Leonard has spent years working on her book, Beatleness: How the Beatles and Their Fans Remade The World, a unique analysis of how the Beatles’ constant presence in the sixties transformed the childhood and adolescence of millions of young people. Now she’s traveling throughout the country, discussing her favorite topic: The Beatles.

On Thursday, October 9^th at 7:30 pm, in honor of John Lennon’s birthday, Candy will be appearing at Stories Books and Café in Los Angeles.  Her reading will focus on how first-generation fans perceived Lennon as the band evolved, and on this historically unique relationship between artist and audience.  Birthday cake celebrating (what would have been) Lennon’s 74^th birthday will be served at the event.

Candy Leonard will also be appearing at The Fest for Beatle Fans at the LAX Airport Marriott Hotel the weekend of October 10^th thru 12th. She will be greeting fans and signing books in the Fest Marketplace throughout the weekend, and will be presenting at the following sessions:

Upon returning to Massachusetts, Leonard will be appearing at The Harvard Coop in Cambridge on October 15^th at 7 pm (ET).
