Follow on Google News | COTS Partners with epiphany glass to Raise Funds Through Sale of Holiday IciclesIcicles will begin emerging from the fiery, 2,000-degree tank furnace at epiphany glass later this month. Made of handcrafted, blown glass, the new icicles will benefit Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS).

On an average night in Detroit, more than 16,000 individuals and families are homeless. Buy an icicle to help provide warmth and shelter – it’s a win-win for everyone.” The icicles may be purchased by phone, by appointment or during open studio times in December by cash, check or credit card. The icicles will debut at the COTS’ Leading Ladies Breakfast on Thurs., Oct. 23 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., where they will be on sale for the first time. Opportunities to purchase in-studio at Pontiac’s epiphany glass, located at 770 Orchard Lake Rd., include the annual Holiday Show & Sale, Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7, from noon to 6 p.m., and Open Studios the following Saturdays, Dec. 13 and Dec. 20, from noon to 4 p.m. The epiphany glass Holiday Show and Open Studio events will feature live glassblowing demonstrations and the opportunity for patrons to create a blown glass flower to take home. With the glassblowing team, guests can create and take home their own glass flower, during the events or by appointment. StudioE gift items and collectible art pieces by glass artist April Wagner will also be available.
