Actress NATURI NAUGHTON will host the Third Annual Georgia Entertainment Gala

ATLANTA - Nov. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- On Saturday, January 10, 2015 Naturi Naughton will take center stage at Georgia World Congress Center to host the anticipated, Third Annual Georgia Entertainment Gala. This night of glitz, glamour and elegance celebrates the multitude of talent that Georgia offers in the entertainment industry. Currently, the actress stars opposite Omari Hardwick in “Power,” the Starz Network series produced by Fifty Cent.

Naughton appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award winning musical, “Hairspray” for three years.  Yet, the singer and actress is best known for her performances as Lil Kim in Fox Searchlight’s hit film “Notorious” and her role in MGM’s remake of the classic film “Fame”. Naughton has starred in Warner Bros.’ “Lottery Ticket” where she starred opposite Loretta Devine, Ice Cube, Mike Epps, and Bow Wow. On the small screen, the scarlet is known for her memorable guest performances on “Mad Men,”  “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” her roles on “The Playboy Club” and “The Client List.” She also appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award winning musical, “Hairspray” for three years.
This year’s nominees will be selected in the following categories - - Outstanding Achievement Award, Georgia Entertainment Industry People to Watch Award, Georgia Best Actor Award, Georgia Rising Star Award, Georgia Best Independent Award in the subcategory of Film, Short Web Series, The Georgia Community Leader Award, Music Award, Georgia Entertainment Industry Outstanding Contribution Award and the Georgia Highlight Award.  With the growth and continued support of all things entertainment the gala announces the addition of the TV Production Award category.
