Rose Jewelers Patchogue to Close its Doors

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - Nov. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Patchogue, NY: Rose Jewelers, a name synonymous with fine jewelry in the Hamptons for almost 70 years, will close the doors of its Patchogue store at 74 East Main Street at the conclusion of a relatively brief multi-million dollar store closing event. The Rose Jewelers Patchogue Store Closing Sale Event opens to the public on Thursday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m. Sale merchandise will be available exclusively at the Patchogue location.

According to Jan Rose, the president of Rose Jewelers, the decision to close the store was the most difficult she’s ever had to make. “My grandfather opened the Patchogue store in 1945, and its been at the heart of our family’s business ever since. Making the decision to close it was extremely painful–there’s so much family history there–but practical as the sales there have not met our expectations in recent years.”

To avoid a drastic overstock situation that could be created by the store closing Rose and her staff reviewed the company’s inventory in its entirety to identify a multi-million dollar collection of excess merchandise that will be offered in the sale. The collection, which includes quality diamonds, precious gems, fine silver, gold and platinum designer pieces and fine Swiss timepieces from brands like Nanis, Yehuda Diamond, Hearts On Fire, Baume & Mercier, Ebel, Gerge and Tissot, will be offered for immediate sale at prices up to 60% off during the closing event. Everything must be sold.
