Being killed slowly but those who should act to protect refuse, in order to protect the perpetrators:  In spite of mounting evidence, such as a positive drug test and more besides, the authorities chose to turn a blind eye to serious drug abuse and dire health consequences for their passive smoking tenant/member of the community.

A true story about a supposedly Christian Housing Association and other authorities in a London borough who refuse to act to protect their tenant/resident of 15 years from serious poisoning by drug taking anti-social tenants of the same housing association.  An on-going and distressing saga of a tenant left to endure torture in her own home at the hands of drug users in the flat above.  The victim is being killed in her own home by drug fumes and pollutants leaking into her flat below with shocking intensity and regularity.  Causing symptoms from nausea to chest pains and resulting in several diagnoses of Laryngeal Reflux from 3 ENT specialists, the first in Nov 2013.  Now on medication the victim’s symptoms of coughing, choking, wheezing, hoarse voice and constant clearing of the throat; mimic those of the victims who inhaled toxic fumes and particles in the air when the twin towers collapsed. Proving just how bad, intense the pollution in her home is and caused by drug smoking tenants above manufacturing/using dangerous drugs, apparatus, machines and equipment.

Not only did those who should have protected her refuse to act but they further traumatised a victim of crime by throwing her under the bus and making sure she got crushed along with her uncomfortable allegations, she just missed the wheels!  A tale of small time conspiracy, victimisation, defamation of character, perverting the course of justice and more, all this in spite of or even because of mounting evidence against said drug using neighbours.  She discovers proof that the authorities had no intentions of helping her, the victim but every intention of protecting the perpetrators and crushing the victim along with her uncomfortable allegations.

“Although the evidence was obviously mounting to throw their attitudes into question, they ignored it.  To do otherwise would have placed them in the painful and difficult position of having to rethink their attitudes……”  Quote from People of the Lie by M Scott Peck in which he discusses the unwillingness, laziness of human beings to do the work of changing, so they take the easy way out.  In this case those who should have helped refused to do so because it was easier it seems to believe a person of colour was lying or crazy than it was to believe their sweet looking tenants were capable of torture and use of illegal drugs.  “Have you seen them?” Were the constant words, defence of the housing manager.  A housing manager in the capital city London used how the accused look over and over as a defence against the victim’s very negative claims!

This is the author Oremie B’s first book but she has always wanted to write non-fiction in order to enlighten and inspire.  This book gives her the perfect opportunity to turn a huge negative into positive. She studied Fashion to degree level and later she obtained a highly commended in an advanced Media/Communications qualification.  She has written previously on blogs and Macs Magazine an online publication.  She currently sees herself as a personal trainer since she trained to be one in 2004 after running 5 marathons back to back which focussed her mind on health and fitness.
