Twenty-five percent of the tournament net proceeds are placed directly into a scholarship fund named in honor of PGA pro Davis Love III for Boys & Girls Club teens. To date, 35 teens have been awarded the Davis Love III Family Scholarship. Remaining funds support BGCMC's after-school and summer enrichment programs. Davis Love III states, "Over the years, it has been my honor to continue to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County through the Davis Love III Family Scholarship and my long-time relationship with the James Griggs Family. This very special partnership continues to bring educational opportunities and scholarships to teens that need it most." Golf for Kids is a joint effort with Monterey Peninsula Foundation (MPF) and the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. BGCMC has been a recipient of grant funds from MPF for the past 20 years to support BGCMC’s nutrition program which serves 150,000 healthy meals annually. For 27 years, MPCC has hosted Golf for Kids in support of the Club's mission to "inspire and empower the youth of Monterey County to realize their full potential to become responsible, healthy, productive and successful citizens."
