DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Jan. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation is pleased to welcome their new Executive Director Carolyn A. Sentelik, MPA.

“Carolyn comes to us from the Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Foundation and has an exciting outlook for the success of the Foundation,” said Ivan Cosimi, SMA Behavioral Healthcare’s CEO.

“She will be a tremendous asset to the SMA Executive Management team,” he added.

Carolyn has a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.  She has completed a two-year fellowship with the Advisory Board Company in Healthcare Leadership and has earned the distinction of Fellow of the Advisory Board Company. In 2012, Carolyn became a certified LEAN leader.

Prior to her position as Executive Director at Florida Hospital, she was the Director of Major Gifts for Gulfside Regional Hospice in New Port Richey, Florida, a Senior Development Officer for University Hospitals in Cleveland Ohio, the Director of Development for Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio and Lodi Community Hospital in Lodi, Ohio. With more than 24 years in the healthcare arena, Carolyn has a wealth of experience in raising philanthropic support for the nonprofit sector.

Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundationwas founded by Jim Foster at the request of Hal Marchman in 1997. The volunteer board of directors is comprised of leading professionals, business leaders, and citizens from the Volusia/Flagler area. The Foundation's sole mission is to build resources, public awareness, and research to support the programs of Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Healthcare, the leading non-profit behavioral healthcare organization in Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia Counties.

Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation is a 501C-3 corporation and is eligible for tax-exempted contributions by the US Internal Revenue Service.
