EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Jan. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- The agency recently launched two new websites, both touting more modern and user-friendly design, the ability to quickly access NCADD’s varied services, and a way to enhance communication with its various constituencies. The sites are also now optimized for mobile devices, including iOS and Android platforms.

NCADD’s corporate website features homepage links which are now more prominently displayed. In addition to featuring the latest news and links to NCADD’s primary services (information and referral to treatment, prevention programs, online training, and the Coalition for Healthy Communities). The site also features news from NCADD National’s website, a medical update, and recap of important news and policy related to addiction. Also accessible are NCADD’s five blogs for parents, educators, older adults, addiction professionals, and the general public.

The new website features a more comprehensive and searchable resource center and in-depth information on NCADD’s training services for addiction counselors, prevention specialists, and school personnel.

“One of the things we’ve found through our recent strategic planning process is that we’re doing a good job on a lot of our projects…but we have so much more to offer that the public knows nothing about,” said NCADD CEO & Executive Director Steve Liga. “We needed to create a platform people can use to find important information to help them and their families, as well as learn about the agency and its varied services.”

A process that has been a half-year in the making, Liga added about the launch, “The number one goal we had in developing the new website was to make it easier for visitors to find information whether they need help for a loved one, information for their children, professional training, or access to our services and programs, such as the Coalition for Healthy Communities.  Keeping content fresh and timely will now be a top priority with the new website.”

Individuals interested in getting help or learning more are encouraged to visit the new website at www.ncadd-middlesex.org.

Creative development and implementation were spearheaded by Stephen Wilcox, president of MHP Multimedia LLC, which provides multimedia for the emerging Web 2.0 environment.  The firm represents a collaboration of seasoned technical and artistic experts who are choosing to provide their expertise to clients more through a service model than a profit-oriented model. This has resulted in an organization with exceptional skills and experience providing high class developments at an economic price. MHP’s website can be accessed at www.mhpmm.com.

NCADD’s second new website is dedicated to its web-based addiction training in order to enhance the visitor experience while also providing information for those seeking initial and renewal credits as addiction counselors.

NCADD’s courses are delivered entirely online in an engaging and interactive format responding to the needs of individuals who are unable to take addiction courses through the traditional workshop format. The courses use the latest training technology for a convenient and professional experience.

The courses are a low cost, effective alternative to sitting in a classroom. Course outlines are available for download and certificates can be printed immediately after passing the included knowledge test.

“The Internet continues to prove that it’s a powerful resource. We have seen it enhance the learning process for addiction treatment and prevention professionals,” said Steven G. Liga, CEO & Executive Director of NCADD.  “Over 1,300 individual professionals have taken our courses in just the last year, because they do not need to take time away from the job and travel all over the state for training. It is now available wherever they are, whenever they want.”

Individuals interested in more information or would like to purchase courses are encouraged to visit www.addictiontrainings.com.
