The Heart of an Artist Foundation Announces “Music and Art” a Benefit for Local Musicians

LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. - Jan. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Lambertville, NJ (January 12, 2015) – For every Taylor Swift, Sam Smith and The Black Keys, there are hundreds of working musicians playing gigs every night as they pursue their dreams of creating art and entertaining audiences. When crisis comes, a lean existence can become even more challenging.

That’s where The Heart of an Artist Foundation comes in. A nonprofit founded by Bucks County photographer Stephen Brown, The Heart of an Artist serves to lend a hand when local musicians have a critical need. “When we provide short-term housing for a percussionist or help a horn player with a medical bill, we are proud that the Heart of an Artist Foundation was there to help,” said Brown.

The Heart of an Artist Foundation will present its first benefit event, “Music and Art,” Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. at the JB Kline Gallery (http://www.jbkline.com/), 25 Bridge Street, Lambertville, New Jersey. The music will come courtesy of by Lizanne Knott, Michael Eli (of Soul Custody (http://soulcustody1.com/latest-news/)) and JB Kline (http://www.jbkline.com/bio.html). Stephen Brown will have his artwork on display and available for sale, with all proceeds benefitting The Heart of the Artist Foundation.

Tickets are $30 in advance and are available by phone (267-987-0455) or email (steve@lookingglass-photo.com). Tickets will be $35 at the door, but as the event is expected to sell out buying tickets in advance is strongly encouraged.
