Presented by Spalding All Weather Volleyballs

The Reflekt Polarized Big Shot Volleyball Series, presented by Rider Sandals, will start the 2015 season at sites throughout Florida during February and April. Teams from throughout the East Coast will compete as they warm up for the 2015 Pro Beach Volleyball Tour. All events are sanctioned by Volley America.

Top male and female doubles teams will compete for over $75,000 cash prizes during the 2015 season including $12,000 at the Spring Florida events. Tournament play will start at 9 am with women’s finals scheduled for 6 pm Saturday and men’s finals at 12 noon on Sunday. Admission is free for all spectators.

The Big Shot Volleyball Series holds 35 events leading to the September 12-13 $8,000 Big Shot Championships at Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City, NJ and the October 17-18 $5,000 Volley America National Championships in Clearwater Beach.

Top players in the Reflekt Polarized Big Shot Series include top Tampa player Matt Henderson, Orlando’s Piotr Marciniak, and Justin Phipps from Dunedin.  Many of the tour players have Pro Beach Volleyball Tour experience. The defending Olympic Gold Medalist Phil Dalhausser played on the Big Shot Tour before advancing to the Pro Tour and the Olympics.

Top women’s players include Clearwater Pro Player Tara Kuk and Orlando’s Karolina Sowala.  Separate divisions will be held for players of intermediate and novice levels on Saturday and Sunday. The $60 entry fee entitles players to a full day of tournament play, an official Reflekt Polarized Big Shot Volleyball t-shirt, and a chance to win merchandise prizes from tournament sponsors 4C Totally Light 2Go, Spalding, Rider Sandals, Reflekt Polarized, Sprout Watches, Bally’s Casino, ZEMgear, Sports Authority, SOB Volleyball Vacations, Karch Kourt net systems, Dig Magazine, Sportime, Horry County, Spike Key, Volley America, and South Shore Outdoors.The public can met the players every Saturday evening at the official Player’s Party.

About East End Volleyball

East End Volleyball has been organizing beach volleyball tournaments for 39 years since 1977. Based in the East End of Long Island, EEVB has grown into the largest beach volleyball series in the East End of the country with tournaments from Newport, RI to Hollywood, Florida. Sanctioned by the Volley America, EEVB runs over 35 events for 4,000 plus players. The highest level in the tournaments, the Open Division, is equivalent to AAA Baseball and funnels players into the Pro Beach Volleyball Tour.
