NEW YORK - Feb. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- City Council candidate Richard Thomas invites Mt. Vernon’s residents to occupy his fundraiser event located at Galito’s Portuguese Restaurant, 29 Elm Avenue, Mt. Vernon, NY 10550. Time 6:30 p.m.

Richard Thomas is a candidate who takes pride and gives his attention to the concerns of the people. Thomas addresses the city’s most pressing issue by introducing Mt. Vernon’s newest energy company to discuss the job opportunities it will be bringing to the area. Thomas’ special guests will also share the company’s plans to help expand and improve the economics of Mt. Vernon and the greater Tri-State area. The “Energy & Economics” fundraiser is the second of a two hosted by Thomas inspired by recent political events.

“Our goal is to lift the spirit of our city by uniting the people and empowering them with an understanding of how to combat the issues impacting our community,” says Thomas. In addition to his campaign activities, his efforts include saving the Mt. Vernon Social Security Office and raise awareness about the problems our city faces as a result of the “American 1%.”
