Organizers Anticipate First Breaking Bread DMV Of '15

TEMPLE HILLS, Md. - Feb. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- It's the one year anniversary of Breaking Bread DMV, and volunteers across Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia are preparing to participate in the year's first installement of the event on February 21.

Breaking Bread DMV, presented by Bleu Royalty Pro. and Will Rap 4 Food, Inc., unites independent artists, advocates and philanthropists for a day of live music from top local DJ's while packing meals to be distributed to the homeless. Saturday's event will be held at St. Barnabas Rd. Temple Hills, MD. 20748 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New community partners W.O.W. Radio and Dream For Purpose will join Will Rap 4 Food, Inc. and Bleu Royalty Pro. in collecting feminine hygiene products and other toiletries to accompany each meal.

Donations for essential items (bread, packaging, meat, condiments, water, etc.) are being accepted online at tilt.tc/eFRi.

Breaking Bread DMV started in February 2014. In August, the most-recent installment of #BreakingBreadDMV, over 175 volunteers packed and delivered 3,524 lunches for clients of Martha’s Table and residents of New York Avenue Men’s Shelter, Community for Creative Non-Violence Shelter and for direct distribution to the city’s homeless.
