PRLog -- XXX, FL – February 17, 2015 – Interest in summer programs that incorporate spirituality into a camping program has increased significantly this year, according to Camp Rockmont, a Christian summer camp in North Carolina. Says Josh Drexler, Associate Camp Director, “Character development and growth, including spiritual growth, is a significant part of our focus. We believe that given what’s going on in our world, and the increasing focus on professional and academic development, parents are looking for programs that support more traditional teachings and values. Camp is a great place for that.” This trend is in line with a national initiative called P21 (http://www.acacamps.org/

that is underway to foster collaboration, innovation, initiative, self direction, leadership and responsibility among youth.
Laura D., a mother who has sent her two sons to Rockmont for 7 years echoes this point of view. She says, “Camp Rockmont is the single greatest investment we’ve made in our child’s development.”
Rockmont attracts new campers through home visits (
