Intergenerational Tech Trio Creates AI "Seals of Approval"By: theONswitch & nunu ventures SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - July 12, 2023 - PRLog -- Three Arizona technology professionals from different generations and specialties teamed up to create four graphic seals encouraging humans to reveal how they used AI to develop stories and graphics.
Says Nancy A Shenker, a technology marketing consultant and author of two books about AI, "Transparency is becoming so important in today's discussions of ChatGPT and other NLP (natural language processing) tools. So, we've created these simple, fun graphic 'stamps' so people can reveal if and how they used AI in their finished work products." The development stemmed from Shenker's conversation with Eric Miller, Co-founder of the engineering firm PADT and freelance writer. Says Miller, "We were geeking out in a discussion about AI and how people were passing off machine-generated content as their own work at school and in business. Nancy came up with the idea of the 'badges,' and then we engaged her colleague Khrystian Veals, a marketing ops consultant and content creator, to design and help market them. Our small team reflects different ages and professions, so it's truly a cross-generational initiative!" The four badges, which are available for free download here are:
Says Shenker, "We all strongly support the use of AI in creating a wide range of communications. But we believe that people should disclose its role in their end product. Five years from now, it will hardly matter, as we believe AI will just be mainstreamed into the creative process. But now, many clients, professors, and editors want to know whether humans or bots developed works. The badges give creators a simple and fun way to disclose!" The seals are available for free download here. End
