By: The Metropolitan Board of Chicago Urban League The Metropolitan Board is committed to promoting and supporting the ideas and goals of the Chicago Urban League through community outreach, fundraising and membership development. “We are excited about MBoutique and all of the young women that will benefit from the program,” said Jason W. Johnson, president of the Metropolitan Board of the Chicago Urban League. “Numerous donors have enriched this event for the past seven years with their in-kind contributions and by volunteering their time and services. It is rewarding to be able to help young people prepare for a special day that they will remember for the rest of their lives.” Sponsors for the event include: King College Prep High School, Hair Executives, Crystal-Eyez Makeup and Beauty Lounge, Inspiration Corporation and Hodgson Consulting & Solutions, Ltd. Previous sponsors include Fashion Fair, Sephora, Target and Unilever. MBoutique seeks to service 250 high school girls, offering special prom tips and advice during the event via a Tweet Up with the hashtag #MBoutique15. Attendees are encouraged to join in the twitter party for the chance to win a special prize. MBoutique is accepting in-kind donations of dresses, shoes, accessories, makeup and grooming products.
