United Premier Soccer League Announce Inland Empire FC as Newest Team for 2015/16 Season

TORRANCE, Calif. - March 25, 2015 - PRLog -- March 25, 2015 – Torrance, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is happy to announce Inland Empire FC (http://www.riversidesuperu20pdl.com/) as the newest member of the UPSL for the 2015/16 Season. The Golden Eagles will participate in the UPSL’s Northwest Conference, which now includes teams spanning the Riverside, Fresno and LA Valley areas. The club’s recent decision to make the move from the USL, one of Nationa’s premier soccer leagues, to the UPSL is a testament to the growth of the UPSL over the last year. The club was founded in 2012 and today plays its home games at the Rancho Jurupa Regional Sports Park in the Jurupa Valley.

The UPSL now consists of three conferences spanning across Southern and Central California; which include Los Angeles County, Orange County, Ventura County, Santa Clarita Valley, Kern County and the Inland Empire.

Tony Shawkat, Manager of Inland Empire FC stated, “Our decision to join the UPSL was an easy one. We found that the level of competition was much higher here and that we as a club now have a lot more room to grow. With this move, we have given our players the opportunity to compete at a very high level. We are proud to be able to call ourselves a member of the UPSL and look forward to competing for silverware year in and year out.”

United Premier Soccer League Yan Skwara Commissioner commented, “We are happy to announce that the Golden Eagles will now be a part of the UPSL’s Northwest Division. I believe it to be a true testament to the strength of our league when teams of their caliber decide to join the UPSL.
