Powerful Imagery On Tap at the Art Show & Silent Auction

SAN DIEGO - April 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Join fellow parents as we celebrate our Seventh Annual Lifetime Montessori School Art Show at a new location in the Del Sur community along with a new, improved Silent Auction. All proceeds will benefit the Montessori school’s teacher refresher course and staff development held at the Association Montessori Internationale.

This year, staff and parents worked side by side to coordinate this fabulous fundraiser. Parents will have a chance to see their toddler and preschoolers’ matted art on our gallery walls about a week before the auction. On Friday, you can bid on the matted art and take it home that day or make arrangements to have it professionally framed while there.

Additionally, a new Silent Auction format will be introduced. This year, many items will be gift baskets—and themed gift baskets at that. For example, you may find a beach basket loaded with towels, chairs, toys and suntan lotion or a golf basket with clubs, balls and accessories. The school is providing the themes and types of items parents will need to fill the baskets. Then, fellow parents can bid, buy and take their themed basket home.

Gift certificates, vouchers and one-of-a-kind professional goods and services will also be auctioned.

Best of all, this year’s Art Show and Silent Auction will be held out of school. The Del Sur Ranch House location will be an all-adult affair with beer, wine and heavy appetizers.

This year’s goal is to raise $15,000 so that 15 teachers can attend the week-long training! All proceeds will raise money for our teachers’ professional development. During the summer, our teachers will focus on music and art workshops, AMI Montessori refreshers and cognitive learning skills.
