CYT NYC’s production of WILLY WONKA, JR brings a world of pure imagination to life on stage!

NEW YORK - April 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Tickets for CYT NYC’s full-scale musical production of Willy Wonka Jr. performing at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in late June go on sale May 1st. A cast comprised of CYT students, ages 8-18, from NJ and NYC will create a world dripping with imagination and excitement (and maybe even chocolate!) for the whole family!  CYT shows include raffles, themed concessions and souvenirs all designed to create a memorable and family-friendly experience.

Come watch the loveable Charlie Bucket and four bratty children take an adventure of a lifetime when they each receive a golden ticket and the chance to tour Willy Wonka’s magical chocolate factory. Will they be able to follow the guidelines needed to safely explore the factory?  Who will finish the tour in a manner worthy of becoming Willy Wonka’s heir? Through adventure and adversity only those who display the utmost character are rewarded with a delicious destiny.

Willy Wonka Jr. is a musical byLeslie Bricusse and Anthony Newleye based on Roahld Dahl’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the much loved movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

CYT students will present five performances:  June 25, 26 and 27 at 7 p.m. and June 27 and 28 at 3 p.m. at the Rose Nagelberg Theater located in the Baruch Performing Arts Center, Lexington Ave. and E. 25th St., NYC.

Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is dedicated to developing character in children through training in the arts and by producing wholesome family entertainment, all of which reflect Judeo-Christian values.

In addition to full-scale musical productions CYT offers three sessions of after-school theater arts training classes (fall, winter and spring). Classes including drama, voice, and dance, plus various specialty classes are available in NYC and Nothern NJ.  CYT offers small classes (less than 18 students) for ages 5-18.
