SFMSDC Expo Successfully Brings Businesses and Suppliers Together in One Place for Another Year

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - April 22, 2015 - PRLog -- The 30^th Annual Southern Florida Minority Supplier Development Council (SFMSDC) Business Expo closed out to rave accolades from both attendees and exhibitors.

The Business Expo is an event that brings buyers and sellers together in one place to discuss procurement opportunities.  During the Expo, “The Investor Pitch Challenge” gave businesses the opportunity to present their companies to investors while competing to win monetary prizes as well as coaching and training to grow their business. Workshops included “How to Build a Multi-million Dollar Company”, “Business Opportunities in Cuba and in other Global Markets”, “High-Growth Sectors such as Green, Travel, Transportation, Technology and Healthcare”, “Product Launch & Development” and marketing workshops and more.

No matter what the hot button and business area or specialty, the 30^th Annual Business Expo had something for every company’s growth and development. There were One-on-One appointments for counseling and Free Business Coaching Sessions all day long for those that took advantage of the service.

One company in attendance, ‘Peak Textiles, LLC’ used the opportunity to present their one-of-a-kind hospital gowns, called The ECT Patient Gown, to procurement officers on site from major hospitals as well as attendees walking the Expo. Manager, Eric Trouillot, said, “The SFMSDC Expo was just the platform we needed to make inroads into the South Florida Hospital districts. Coming here gave us the opportunity to make valuable connections and build a network that will foster growth for Peak Textile.“

A second exhibitor, Sharon Chin Barnes of ‘Standing Ovations Catering’, found the Expo to be the perfect place to make connections with attendees as well as businesses that were co-exhibitors alongside their booth. Standing Ovation offered up tasty treats to attendees and gained valuable leads and information from workshops and seminars at the event.
