Popera Sensation Aria Tesolin To Perform in Toronto on May 30

TORONTO - May 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Indie pop classical singer Aria Tesolin brings her genre defying brand of indie pop to The Supermarket on May 30. Her music is a symphony of soothing velvety vocals, multi-sound textures, and multi-layered lyrics that create a smooth intricacy with intergenerational appeal.  Her music resonates with both classical modernity and timelessness, and just the right edge of indie pop.

At this show she will perform songs from her current album Ascension along with a few surprises. This includes her hit single "The Key" which topped New Music Weekly Radio Charts for months and won her a 2014 nomination for "Best New Top 40 Artist of the Year" and also two nominations for Breakthrough Top 40 Artist and Breakthrough AC Artist of the Year. Aria will be accompanied by accomplished club musicians Max Senitt, Mike Pelletier, and Tien Yeung,

Fans describe Aria's lush vocals as majestic, ethereal and mesmerizing. A talented and complex artist, songwriter, literary and spoken word poet, Aria was born in 1993 and is from the Toronto area. Three of her singles, including Dolce, which rose to the top of the Official European Indie Chart for five consecutive months in 2012, and The Key play on commercial radio in twenty three countries.

Aria released her current album Ascension in April, 2013. Ascension, which features Tesolin's original music for the first time, has received critical acclaim as a strong album for both music and lyrics. For this album Tesolin and Toronto producer Douglas Romanow developed an innovative sonic landscape that combined the poetry of her lyrics with classical orchestra and electro-pop, (harp, cello mixed with electronic piano and synthesizer effects), to crown her signature voice. The album goes deep into universal themes in the human experience with memorable lyrics and songs that hint at elements of pop, rock, musical theatre, and crooner jazz.

Aria started singing opera arias in concert at the age of 8 with Canadian tenors, delivered with the dramatic gravitas of a young Callas. Her charismatic performances became legendary when they were posted to Youtube a few years later, reaching an audience of 7 million people, earning her the moniker "youngest opera singer in the world." At 12, she released her first album Baby Soprano, a fourteen track album of popular opera arias.
