AFC Ann Arbor Inaugural Great Lakes Premiere League Game - May 15th, 7PM

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - May 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Ann Arbor, MI – After drawing nearly 2,300 fans to the inaugural match at Hollway Field on May 1st, AFC Ann Arbor returns home May 15th at 7pm to host it’s first league match against opponent Oakland United FC.

The first 300 fans will receive a free “Strength In The Oak” wristband compliments of Audi Ann Arbor. The giveaway is one of many match day experiences fan can look forward to.

Here’s what fans can expect on May 15th.

Nacho Station & Food Trucks

Ann Arbor favorite BTB Burrito will have their Nacho Station as the official concessions of AFC Ann Arbor along with food trucks from all over southeast Michigan. This week’s food trucks include Babo To Go, Meanie Weenie’s, Petey’s Donuts and a Good Humor Ice Cream Truck.

Live Music

Aaawwwwwwooooooooo! Violin Monster will be in the house serenading us with his musical talents from the time gates open until 6:30pm and again at halftime.

Tree of Life Drum and Dance Society

This high energy drum and dance theatre of cultures from around the world blended with contemporary movements and beats and will be in the stands all game long for every home AFC Ann Arbor match.

Kids Activities

YMCA Kids Skills Zone

Kids of all ages will have a chance to take part in the YMCA Kids Skills Zone. Kids will have an opportunity to fine-tune their skills with some of the best instructors in town. They’ll also have a chance to test their speed and be clocked by our official speed gun to compare their speed against top AFC Ann Arbor players.

Audi of Ann Arbor Post Game Autographs

Fans who want to stick around and meet the players after the match will have a chance to shake some hands and grab some autographs compliments of AFC Ann Arbor’s Official Vehicle, Audi of Ann Arbor.

AFC Ann Arbor was founded in 2014 to bring minor league soccer to Ann Arbor and the surrounding communities.  The team will compete in the inaugural season of the Great Lakes Premier League as a founding club.  The club will be made up of amateur players from the area and recruited from top college programs across the state and country.  The season will run May 1-July 25th with home games being played at Pioneer’s High School Hollway Field.
