What is Really Going on Around the World?

AUSTIN, Texas - May 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Liliana has spent the last 25 years devoting her life to helping the dying have a more peaceful death all over the world. She began with helping to form the first hospice in Latin America in 1988 and she continues today as the ED of the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care.

We talk on this podcast of trends in palliative care around the world, the issue of access to medications at the end of life for most of the worlds population and insights she has from the most recent Palliative Conference in Europe this month.

I met Liliana in 2008 when IAHPC and my organization, Quality of Life Care, along with the Texas New Mexico Hospice Organization, co organized Austin's second World Hospice and Palliative Care Day celebration. I was so impressed with her and her dedication and her willingness to partner with new people "doing the work."
