By: la wolves fc The L.A. Wolves started the first half with some good ball movement and created several goal scoring chances for forwards Sam Higgins and Tarzan Hernandez who had some hard luck finding the net. Sure enough, the missed opportunities would end up haunting the L.A. Wolves as Anaheim countered in the 34’ minute and caught the Wolves defense suspect as Anaheim took a 1-0 lead which is where the half would end. After a halftime discussion, the Wolves came out on fire for the second half with changes in the Midfield. Jose Rivera and Gonzalo Sequero came into the match replacing Midfielder’s Sori Keita and Dan McCarthy, to spark up the attack and throw a bit more intensity into the match. The Wolves attacked with energy and a committed attitude to play and that paid off in the 86’ minute off a nice counter attack as L.A. Wolves Forward Sam Higgins tied the match up 1-1 on a nice low shot from the right side of the box that beat the Legacy keeper. Shortly thereafter, the game then took another turn as Wolves Midfielder Damir Baimagambetov scored in the 88’ minute to give the Wolves a sudden 2- 1 lead but the Wolves would not stop there. In the 90’ minute of play, L.A. Wolves Forward Andre Turoldo scored to put the game away 3-1 which is where the match would end. Yan Skwara Head Coach of the L.A. Wolves FC said. “This was an exciting match if you are a Wolves fan as the boys came back with some vigor and fight which is what I told them they had to do to get back into the game. Being down a goal with less than six minutes to play and scoring three unanswered goals is a big win for us. I’m proud of the character we showed tonight. We started to play in the second half like we are capable of playing and the results speak for themselves. Anaheim put up a good fight but I don’t think they expected the pressure we threw at them.
