SMITHTOWN, N.Y. - July 1, 2015 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, NY -- On July 4th, Independence Day, Kevin L. McCrudden, AKA, "Mr. Motivation" and "America's CMO ~ Chief Motivation Officer" was to commence his "Walk for America" from New York City's Battery Park to Los Angeles’ Santa Monica Pier has been postponed to a later date.

"The Walk for America is intended to not only be a fundraiser for military charities, but also a conversation with America, about America,” says Kevin McCrudden.    He continued, “President John F. Kennedy made the famous statement, ’ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what can you do for your country.’  I believe that the “Walk for America” is what I am willing to do for my country to help reignite a sense of patriotism, commitment, loyalty and dedication to America and our way of life."

On the “Walk for America” "Go Fund Me" page http://www.gofundme.com/wb3epww  it states that the walk would not commence if the Go Fund Me page had not reached $50,000 of it’s proposed $250,000 goal.  To this point, the Go Fund Me Page has only raised $145.

“The fact that the Go Fund Me page hasn’t reached the $50,000 mark to help us commence the Walk for America is an indicator that we have not gotten enough traction or have gotten in front of enough people, nor have gotten our message out.” said McCrudden  “I have no doubt that done properly, we can raise the $250,000, if not more for the military charities. This is an enormous undertaking, but I frankly thought it was a “no brainer” as they say.  I thought that once we announced that I was walking across America starting on the 4th of July, that the funds and support would just start flooding in.  That wasn’t the case,” says McCrudden

McCrudden is speaking with some of the Military charities, like Operation Reinvent to determine a better start date, like Labor Day or September 11th and complete the “Walk for America” in San Diego, CA on Veterans Day, November 11th or the possibility of commencing the walk on Veterans Day and attempting to complete the walk by January 2nd, National Motivation & Inspiration Day.
