Develop Africa Launches a Girls Leadership Mentoring Group in Uganda

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Aug. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Breaking News: Develop Africa Inc Leadership Mentoring Program in Uganda.

We are thrilled and very pleased to announce that Develop Africa launched its Girls Leadership Mentoring Program in Uganda this summer, 2015.

Five talented ladies namely Janet Nambozo, Diana Among, Evelyn Murungi, Vianah Kamakune and Lydia Wanyenze were chosen to become the pioneer members of this leadership mentoring group with an anticipated mentoring cycle of three years. The mentoring activities will be coupled with amazing leadership resources, programs, initiatives and fieldwork to validate and reinforce heir mentoring experiences.   The launching ceremony was held at the Mbale Hotel Resort at Mbale, Uganda on July, 26th, 2015.

Develop Africa’s Girls Leadership Mentoring Program is a unique, dynamic and forward-thinking  leadership mentorship program that equips, nurtures and coaches girls between the ages of 15-39 to fulfill their life’s mission, develop their leadership gifts and maximize the resources needed to be self-sufficient and productive citizens.  The goal of the program is to equip young girls to discover, harness and activate their leadership gifting and purpose and to contribute effectively to their nation’s well being.

Our leadership mentoring delivery model is a dynamic and creative model that utilizes elearning, mobile learning (m-learning), emerging technologies, social media and other e-tools to reach out to girls and youths in Africa.  We also conduct onsite mentoring programs, training and field-work activities.

Our program is administered through research-based curricula and is delivered by trained, mentoring experts and professionals in the seven core principles of leadership; namely:  self-leadership, creative leadership, economic leadership, political leadership, spiritual leadership, community leadership and leadership to one’s nation. Our current program's focus is in Africa and we operate three functional mentoring groups in Freetown, Sierra Leone (West Africa) and in Kisii, Kenya (East Africa) and Mbale, Uganda (East Africa). We anticipate launching a fourth mentoring program this Fall in Cameroon.
