Mohawk Global Trade Advisors Appoint New Senior Advisor for New England

REVERE, Mass. - Aug. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Mohawk Global Trade Advisors (MGTA), an international trade compliance and consulting firm, has appointed Kristen Morneau as Senior Advisor to service the greater New England area. In her new position, Kristen’s duties will include import and export gap analysis, compliance manual development, product classification, and ITAR licensing assistance.

Kristen brings more than twenty five years of experience in trade compliance, logistics, and operations, having held roles in operations, products and sales. She spent the last four years at Microsemi FTD in Beverly, MA as the Senior Manager of Global Logistics and Compliance.

Over the years, Kristen’s reputation as a trusted, outstanding logistics professional made her the go-to-person at her previous companies for import and export compliance issues. In her prior roles, she managed special handling for perishable and secure moves, and assured the compliant flow of material in and out of Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong, China) and the European Union (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany); she made sure that all import and tax regulations were followed, while she also ensured that customer delivery requirements were met. Her leadership at Dialogic (formerly Brooktrout Technology) resulted in millions of dollars of incremental revenue and her policies remain as a vital piece of the company's Asia strategy. She possesses detailed and broad knowledge of order management, warehouse operations, and business process outsourcing allowing her to troubleshoot compliance and logistics challenges throughout the supply chain and revenue cycle. Her trade compliance background includes customs brokerage, Commerce and State (ITAR) licensing, C-TPAT, and classifications across a wide array of products.

Kristen fills an integral role that will help a newly formed partnership answer New England’s call for global trade expertise. Earlier this year, MGTA of Syracuse, NY and OCEANAIR of Revere, MA announced a joint venture to bring comprehensive supply chain and international trade compliance consulting services to New England. Morneau feels this new endeavor between these two companies has some exciting times ahead. “I’m thrilled to be able to bring MGTA’s ability and compliance expertise to New England during a time of constant change in regulations,” she says.
