Damien Ellison To Release First Single, ‘Desperate’ Off Forthcoming Debut Gospel Album

ATLANTA - Sept. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Findlay House Media in conjunction with Damien Ellison Music is pleased to announce the release of “Desperate,” the highly anticipated first single off Damien Ellison’s forthcoming, debut gospel album.

“Desperate,” which Damien Ellison coproduced with James Devon Brabham, was written by Damien Ellison while sitting in the chapel of his alma mater, Atlanta Christian College. The single features a number of talented musicians including Angelina Sherie on violin and background vocals, Micah Lanham on electric guitar, Preston Shewbridge on bass, Tenaj Forbes on acoustic guitar, and Denzil Mills on drums. “Desperate” begins with a stirring drum call, then the uplifting gospel anthem gradually rises in intensity until reaching a crescendo on the refrain.

Recorded in Atlanta at Doppler Studios, “Desperate” is set to hit digital outlets on September 4^th and will kick off the countdown to JUST WORSHIP: THE ACOUSTIC SET, Ellison’s debut body of work. Slated for release on digital outlets worldwide in 2016, JUST WORSHIP: THE ACOUSTIC SET marks Ellison’s first studio gospel album.

The first single “Desperate” will premiere on digital outlets, Friday, September 4^th, 2015 at 7am EST.

Damien Ellison has been writing gospel songs for the last 10 years. Ellison got his start in 2006 when he auditioned for the praise team at The Signet church (formerly Vigor Youth Ministries, Int’l). Ellison had no formal musical training aside from a beginner’s piano class.

After two failed auditions at Georgia State University’s School of Music, Ellison transferred to Atlanta Christian College, now Point University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Worship and Music Ministry. Since that time Ellison has become an accomplished worship leader, leading worship at youth conferences in the Atlanta area as well as performing in Puerto Rico and Ontario Canada.

Ellison continued his academic studies in an effort to perfect his craft. He now has two Master’s Degrees from Liberty University - one in Worship Studies: Leadership and the other in Music & Worship.  This past April, Ellison produced and headlined the Just Worship Live Concert at The Christian Church At East Point.
