Follow on Google News | Damien Ellison To Release First Single, ‘Desperate’ Off Forthcoming Debut Gospel AlbumBy: Findlay House Media “Desperate,” Recorded in Atlanta at Doppler Studios, “Desperate” The first single “Desperate” Damien Ellison has been writing gospel songs for the last 10 years. Ellison got his start in 2006 when he auditioned for the praise team at The Signet church (formerly Vigor Youth Ministries, Int’l). Ellison had no formal musical training aside from a beginner’s piano class. After two failed auditions at Georgia State University’s School of Music, Ellison transferred to Atlanta Christian College, now Point University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Worship and Music Ministry. Since that time Ellison has become an accomplished worship leader, leading worship at youth conferences in the Atlanta area as well as performing in Puerto Rico and Ontario Canada. Ellison continued his academic studies in an effort to perfect his craft. He now has two Master’s Degrees from Liberty University - one in Worship Studies: Leadership and the other in Music & Worship. This past April, Ellison produced and headlined the Just Worship Live Concert at The Christian Church At East Point.
